- Yes. Aequorea is an alternative social network for artists and art lovers with no algorithms, no likes and no follower counts. Feeds are chronological, nothing is ranked or promoted, and every artist gets the same space.
- What kind of art can I share?
- Paintings, drawings and classic art, photography, music, short films and movies, books and text. Each piece has room for the story and context behind it, not just the image.
- What is the Aequorea Museum?
- A 3D virtual art museum on Steam, built in Unity, that you walk through with other people. Classic masters hang beside new artists; you can explore themed rooms with friends, talk in voice chat and leave comments on the walls that sync to the app.
- How do I display my art in the app and the museum?
- Request an invite by submitting one piece. Once it is approved you receive a personal invite, your work is featured in the mobile app and you get a room of your own in the virtual museum where you hang your paintings, photos, music or films.
- Is the app free?
- The Aequorea app is free on the App Store and Google Play. Publishing your own work is by invitation, which keeps the collection curated and free of spam.
- Which platforms is Aequorea on?
- The app runs on iOS and Android. The Museum runs on PC through Steam. One account connects both: upload on your phone and it is waiting for you on the museum wall.
